This policy applies to every mobile app published by Soucean. It explains who we are, what our apps store, what Google collects through the advertising and analytics software we embed, and the choices and rights you have. It describes how our apps work today; if a specific app works differently — for example, if it offers accounts or stores data anywhere other than your device — that will be stated clearly in the app itself and on its store listing.
The short version
- We do not ask for your name, email, or any account. There is nothing to sign up for.
- Your settings stay on your device. We never receive them.
- Our apps do not use your location, contacts, camera, photos, or microphone.
- We do not run a server of our own. Every piece of data that leaves your device goes to Google, not to us.
- Google’s ads and analytics software does collect device identifiers and how the app is used. That is described in full below.
- Where an app offers purchases, payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google — we never see or store payment information.
- We have never sold your personal information for money, and we never will.
Who we are
Our apps are made and published by Soucean, an independent studio. Under the GDPR and equivalent laws, Soucean is thedata controller for our apps.
We are a small operation and are not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer, so we have not appointed one. Privacy mail goes directly to us at the address at the bottom of this page.
Data stored on your device
Our apps currently have no accounts and no sign-in — we never ask you to type personal information. Each app saves your in-app preferences — things like sound settings, gameplay options, chosen backgrounds or variants, temporary unlocks earned by watching a rewarded ad, and which update notice you last saw — locally, using your device’s standard app-preferences storage, so they survive closing the app. Data saved this way never leaves your device and we cannot see it.
Deleting an app erases the data it stores on your device. Where there is no account, these settings cannot be recovered or moved to another device. If a future app stores any of your data elsewhere — for example, to sync between devices — that app will say so clearly and this policy will be updated before it launches.
What our partners collect
Our apps embed software from Google. When an app runs, these services collect data directly from your device to Google, under Google’s own privacy policy. We see only aggregated reports; we never receive a copy of the raw data, and there is no other company involved.
| Service | What it collects | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Your advertising identifier — IDFA on iPhone and iPad, but only if you allow tracking; Advertising ID on Android — plus IP address, device model and settings, and how ads are interacted with. Apple’s SKAdNetwork and Android’s Privacy Sandbox also measure ad performance without identifying you. | To show ads and measure them. Ads are what keep our apps free. |
| Firebase Analytics | A small set of in-app events — which screens are viewed and which features and game modes are used — never anything you typed. Google attaches your device model, OS version, an approximate region derived from your IP address, and a randomly generated app instance identifier. On Android it also receives the Google Play install referrer. | To see which features actually get used |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Crash reports: what the app was doing when it stopped, device model, OS version, and a random Crashlytics installation identifier. Release builds only — crashes in our own test builds stay on our machines. | To find and fix crashes |
| Firebase Remote Config | Reads settings from Google’s servers, not from any server of ours. It is a one-way read: it sends the same random app instance identifier and nothing about how the app is used. | To adjust the app and flag broken versions without shipping an update |
None of these events contain your name, email, or anything you typed — our apps never ask for those. We do not set a user ID and we record no user properties, so nothing Google receives through these events is tied to you as a person. Google’s practices are described in theGoogle Privacy Policy and, for ads specifically, inhow Google uses data in AdMob.
Checking for updates
On startup our apps ask Firebase Remote Config for the minimum and latest published version numbers and compare them with the version installed on your device. If your copy is too old the app shows a notice, and it may offer to open your app store. Your version number is compared on your device — it is not reported to us.
Why we are allowed to do this
For anyone in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR requires us to name a legal basis for each purpose. Ours are:
| What | Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Settings on your device | Remember your setup | Not processed by us at all — they never leave your device |
| Personalized ads and the advertising identifier | Fund free apps | Your consent — Art. 6(1)(a) |
| Analytics events | See what is actually used | Your consent — Art. 6(1)(a) |
| Non-personalized ads | Fund free apps when you decline consent | Legitimate interests — Art. 6(1)(f) |
| Crash reports | Keep our apps from breaking | Legitimate interests — Art. 6(1)(f) |
| Remote Config and version check | Ship fixes, flag broken versions | Legitimate interests — Art. 6(1)(f) |
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed them against your privacy: all of it is limited to keeping free apps working and none of it identifies you personally. You can object at any time — seeYour rights.
Tracking and personalized ads
Shortly after you first open one of our apps on an iPhone or iPad, it shows Apple’s tracking prompt and asks permission to use your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) for personalized ads. We ask once; iOS only allows the prompt a single time.
If you say no, you will still see ads — they will just be non-personalized. Saying no does not lock, limit, or slow down any part of the app.
You can change your mind at any time:
- iPhone and iPad: Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. The same screen lets you reset your advertising identifier, which breaks the link to past ad activity.
- Android: Settings › Google › Ads, where you can opt out of ads personalization or delete your Advertising ID entirely.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK
Before any personalized ad is requested and before analytics collection begins, our apps show a consent form provided by Google’s User Messaging Platform, and ask whether you agree. Nothing personalized runs until you answer. You can reopen that form from the app’s settings and change or withdraw your answer at any time; withdrawing is as easy as giving consent, and costs you nothing in the app.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. A directory of EEA authorities is published by theEuropean Data Protection Board; in the UK, the authority is theInformation Commissioner’s Office. You are welcome to contact us first, but you are not obliged to.
If you are in California
We want to be blunt about this rather than hide behind wording. When you allow tracking, your advertising identifier goes to Google so it can personalize the ads you see. Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, that counts as“sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, and you have the right to opt out of it.
- To opt out, turn off tracking as described above. That is our “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” mechanism — there is nothing else to click, and we honor it in the app itself.
- We have never sold personal information for money, and we do not offer financial incentives for your data.
- We do not collect sensitive personal information as the CPRA defines it.
- We do not knowingly share the personal information of anyone under 16.
- You have the right to know, delete, correct, and to be free from retaliation for exercising any of these rights. Because we hold no account and nothing that identifies you, in practice there is nothing on our side to hand over or delete.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights over your personal data: to access it, to have it corrected or erased, torestrict or object to how it is used, to receive it in a portable form, and towithdraw consent you previously gave.
Here is the honest, practical answer about exercising them with us. We hold no account, no email address, and no identifiable records — so if you write to ask what we have about you, the answer will almost always be that we have nothing to look up, because there is no key to look you up by. That is by design, not evasion.
The data that does exist is held by Google, and Google is the only party that can act on it. Use theGoogle Privacy Policy for that. Resetting or deleting your advertising identifier, as described above, severs the link between your device and past ad activity. Deleting an app erases everything held locally.
If you do write to us, we will reply within 30 days.
Where your data goes
Google operates a global infrastructure, so data collected through our apps may be processed on Google servers outside your country — including in the United States. We do not transfer anything ourselves, because nothing is ever sent to us. For transfers out of the EEA and the UK, Google relies on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the frameworks described in its own privacy policy.
If you are in Vietnam
Where Decree No. 13/2023/ND-CP on Personal Data Protection applies, the rights it grants you — to know, to give and withdraw consent, to access, to correct, to delete, to restrict and object, and to complain — are covered by the sections above, and the same contact address applies.
Children
Our apps are intended for a general audience. They are not directed to children under 13, they are not published in a children’s category, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided such information, contact us and we will act on it.
Security
The strongest security measure we have is structural: we do not operate a server, hold no accounts, and store no personal data. There is no database of ours to breach. Everything our apps send travels over encrypted connections to Google, whose security is described in their privacy policy. Data on your device is protected by your device’s own operating system and passcode.
Data retention
We do not operate a server that stores your data, so we retain nothing. Your settings live on your device for as long as the app is installed and are erased when you delete it. Data collected by Google is retained under Google’s own schedules, described in their privacy policy.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top. Meaningful changes will be noted in each app’s release notes. Where a change requires your consent under applicable law, we will ask for it before the change takes effect.
